Marson faces first question by blasting Labour’s employment record
Work and pensions under-secretary Julie Marson answered her first question in her role by blasting Labour’s employment record.
Shadow minister Alison McGovern welcomed Marson to her post, but asked “of the million people estimated to have left the labour market, by the time she is finished in office, how many of them will be back to work?”
Marson did not answer the question, but reminded the House of Commons that “every time the L:about Party has left power, they have left more people unemployed than when they started”.
