Paymaster General: ‘The prime minister enhances the role of his office’
The opposition day debate topic on Tuesday was on the proposed changes to the ministerial code by the prime minister.
Deputy Labour leader Angela Rayner shared her concerns for the UK democracy, telling the House of Commons that the proposal was “cherry picked” from the recommendations that “suited him”.
Paymaster general defended Boris Johnson, explaining that he had in fact strengthened the ministerial code and that the PM “enhanced the role of his office”.
