No 10 says PM is ‘well’ and refuses to address negative media briefings
The Prime Minister’s spokesperson has denied the prime minster is unwell and has refused to address reports of negative briefings regarding his leadership in today’s papers.
He said heĀ would not comment on “anonymous source quotes” Boris Johnson’s premiership.
“The Prime Minister, as you have seen from Cabinet, is focused on the issues that we face as we come up to the winter months and delivering on important changes like social care,ā he claimed.
No 10 has insisted Boris Johnson was “well and he is focused on delivering for the public” following his speech to the Confederation of British Industry.
“The Prime Minister briefly lost his place in a speech,” the spokesman said in regards to Mr Johnson’s address to the CBI annual conference yesterday in South Shields in which he paused for several moments appearing to have lost his place in the printed speech, and detailed a visit to ‘Peppa Pig world’, adding: “He has given hundreds of speeches. I don’t think it’s unusual for people on rare occasions to lose their place in a speech.”
