Minister of State walking 87-miles for charity

Michelle Donelan, the Conservative MP for Chippenham and Minister of State for Universities, is set to complete a 3-day, 87-mile charity trek today.

Walking along the Kennet & Avon Canal, Donelan and her walking partners have raised more than £6,000 for Holt Pre-school.

Donelan is being accompanied by her partner Tom Turner and her colleague Laura Hall-Wilson.

Donelan has been an MP since the 2015 general election, and has served as the Minister of State for Universities since February 2020. She previously served as a Lord Commissioner of the Treasury from July 2019 to February 2020.

In the recent Cabinet reshuffle, Donelan was kept in her post as Minister of State for Universities and gained the added right to attend cabinet.
