BASC: Still time for gamekeepers to enter their dogs for Crufts

There is still time for gamekeepers to enter their gundogs in the gamekeeper classes at Crufts 2008.

The closing date for entries is 7 January 2008 with the gundogs' day being held on 7 March at the Birmingham NEC.

BASC's national gundog coordinator, Sheila Gussey, said: "I'd like to encourage more gamekeepers to get involved this year. The dog has to be registered to them but they can choose someone else to be the handler if they don't want to do it themselves. The gamekeeper classes provide a great opportunity for them to showcase their gundogs."

Entry forms for the gamekeeper classes are available from Crufts through their website http://www.crufts.org.uk, by email events@thekennelclub.org.uk or by phoning 0870 6066750. People can also call BASC South West on 01823 480903 or e-mail gundogs@basc.org.uk stating your postal address.
