Levelling up and treasury committees among those meeting today

At 3.00pm, the Scottish affairs committee will meet on the subject of “Firearms licensing regulations in Scotland”. The witnesses are Chris Philp, the minister of state for crime, policing and fire and Nick Hunt, head of the firearms policy unit at the home office.

At 3.15pm, the treasury committee will meet on the subject of “Autumn 2022 Fiscal Events”. Witnesses include: Mike Brewer, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Economist, Resolution Foundation, and Carl Emmerson, Deputy Director, Institute for Fiscal Studies.

At 4.00pm, the public accounts committee will meet on the subject of “supporting vulnerable adolescents”. Witness include: Susan Acland-Hood, Permanent Secretary, Department for Education, and Siobhan Jones, Director Supporting Families Programme, department for levelling up, housing and communities (DLUHC).

At 4.15pm, the levelling up, housing and communities committee meets to question Michael Gove, the secretary of state for the department.
