The Tory lead continues to disintegrate as speculation about a hung parliament becomes more heated.

An Ipsos MORI poll for the Telegraph put just five points between Labour and the Tories. Most have the opposition six points ahead.

If replicated at a general election, the results could lead to a hung parliament.

But analysts are divided over how to interpret the poll findings. Many argue that Tory funding of marginal constituencies means a universal calculation of the poll results provides inaccurate conclusions.
