The crown, symbol of Britain's monarchy, looks set to stay for now

The UK is supposed to be monarchy-mad amid the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, but republicans are revelling in the media attention too. Their agenda is gathering pace - but singing 'God Save The President' still seems a very long way off.
