Get stuck in - register to vote

Over 15 million people who could vote at the last election didn’t.

Yet some MPs were elected by just a few hundred votes.

We hear people say ‘politics doesn’t matter’ at GMB we know politics is just every day life.

It’s how much your bills are every month.

Your education, and that of your kids.

How long you have to wait to see a doctor.

And even how much your train ticket costs.

So when we see our rights at work under threat and hear that for the first time ever, the majority of those in poverty are in work – we have to ask ourselves, what are we going to do about it?

Shouting at the telly won’t help. Neither will moaning about it with your mates at the pub or down the school gates.

If you don’t like what’s happening, do something about it.

Have a say.

Get stuck in.

The deadline to register to vote is April 20th. Register at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
