03/07/2008: MRSA Action UK: Tribute to all those lost and all those affected by healthcare infections, Westminster Abbey - 3rd July 2008

Thursday, 03 Jul 2008 09:53
MRSA Action UK is holding its annual Memorial event at Westminster Abbey on Thursday 3rd July 2008 to lay a wreath in memory of the innocent victims that have suffered from and been lost to Healthcare Associated Infections.

The ceremony itself will take place at 1:00pm with prayers, followed by the laying of a wreath at the innocent victim’s memorial at 1:15pm.

A reception will be held after the ceremony from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at The Strand Palace Hotel, 372 Strand, London, WC2R 0JJ.

The Ceremony will also commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Birth of the NHS, and this will be a salutary reminder of why we need to see constant improvements in our Health Service on patient safety, and for it to achieve the dream of its founding father Aneurin Bevan. A Health Service that delivers to the people of this Country, the very best available, irrespective of the cost.
